Last Day of School

We're sad that school is over, but lucky to know that Allison will get one more year of preschool and she can have the same teacher.  She loves her teacher.  Summer starts today!

Mother's Day

I decided to make the day about my relationship with Allison since she is the one who made me a mother.  It's not just about me, but about being a good mother to her and always ensuring that I give her the loving, supportive, and nurturing childhood that I never had.

At school, she made me a bouquet of flowers out of her tiny little hand prints.  Maybe one day I will stop crying about all these little things, but that day hasn't come yet.
We went on a shopping trip together for the day.
Then we decided that she needed a pedicure.
She picked out the color all by herself.
And then she sat and admired her toes while they dried.  She likes to feel grown up.
At the end of the day, I drove to the hospital to see my brand new baby nieces who were born on the 9th.  Nora and Gwen are very tiny and will probably remain in the hospital for several more weeks until they are strong enough to go home.  I love them already.

Like a Bird

Sometimes going to the pet store is like going to the zoo without all the hassle and the cost.  Allison particularly enjoys the birds and likes to imitate them.

Impromptu Picnic

Allison is learning how to set the table.  She is also learning about tea parties and picnics.  She decided to move her small table into the kitchen one day and set it for three places.  We enjoyed pretending that we were eating chicken, cookies, and hot dogs.

Hunting Eggs

Allison had a great time finding eggs in the back yard.  After she picked one up, she would shake it to see if it made noise.  When we got done, she wanted to be wrapped up in her blanket.  She said she was being a caterpillar.
